Know Your Product, Know your Market - Starbucks literally used the environment to triumph

I must start off by saying that I did not start drinking coffee till I hit the age of 30 years of age!

Why did I start drinking coffee at the age of 30 you may ask yourself, simple I had my second child at the age of 30 and I was so low on sleep mixed with 10 - 12 hour working days the caffeine hit was a no brainer as it gave me a boost, woke me up and actually made me feel better!

This leads me onto the reason for this blog, I am mixing in how companies use my current situation above to provide a service or product and make eye watering profits to dominate and triumph.

Keeping it short, if you sold coffee online, you literally just could target your online ads to new parents and/or single parents...... WHY? all you need to do is re-read my intro, I had a problem and you can provide me with the solution... Coffee.... get it?

Today I am talking about Starbucks ☕☕ and why they started out in the selected location.

Did you know Starbucks opened first in Seattle?

Do you know why Starbucks initially opened in Seattle?

Well.... some may say Starbucks knew their product and they knew their market! The thing is, Seattle in terms of seasons have very long and dark winters.

What has this got to do with coffee you may  bethinking....? Well Long dark winters in places like Seattle meant people where/are depressed, no to little sunlight suffering from S.A.D (Seasonal Affective Disorder) or Winter depression 🧊🥶❄ so people of Seattle are low in moral, so what do you you think the people of Seattle craved due to the long dark winters and low energy? Yep you guessed it Coffee! Now role in Starbucks 💲💲💲💲🤑🤑🤑💰💰💰💰

The above is a great business coaching tip/lesson, in order to triumph know the market, location, season, weather pattern depending on your product or service!

If the environment is causing an issue to people then it is your job to provide a service and solution, get this right and you do two things,

1. You solve a problem for so many

2. You create something magic

BTW Starbucks are now worth $28 billion 😯 If you want a piece of this then start modelling the successful people and businesses, look for more solutions to provide, listen to peoples problems to see if you can provide a solution and you will have the next billion dollar business.

Are You Thinking About Increasing your Social Media Presence but don't know where to start?

If you have been thinking about it, then you know what! You should celebrate the little win.... WHY? You have already completed step 1 which is thinking about what you want to do.

You may not think you have accomplished anything but everything starts with a thought or a dream before you see it in front of you, do you agree?

The easiest way to break down where you could start is as follows.............

1. Do you like writing stories/reading i.e the written word? Yes, then you should start with Blogging

2. Are you a talker do you prefer the spoken word? Yes, then you should start a podcast

3. Are you an extrovert? Do you have a passion for motion picture and mixing all the above together? Then I would advise starting a YouTube Channel.

I say YouTube over FB live or Instagram Live, did you know your Instagram Live will only stay on your feed for 24 hours then its gone! So you  may want to avoid Instagram live. Now let me give you factual information to why YouTube would be a better place to hang out, YouTube is a search engine so when people show up to your channel they are searching to find you and your content vs FB or IG, and you need to lean on your # and then only end up on your family and friends feeds instead of your target audience 😑

The next thing.......................... just to do, don't overthink what you are going to blog about just start something, don't worry about what you are going to talk about, just get on your podcast and lastly when starting your YouTube video, just shoot it on your phone and upload the video to YouTube, the best thing is not to make excuses about sound, lighting, setting etc etc... that is just your insecurities kicking in to stop you from starting! What you need to focus on is content, content and content.

I have a course to help you master this, please ==> CLICK HERE <==

In my next Blog I will post how often you should post your content........

So what are you waiting for? Lets get started 😁

Being a Guest on a Podcast! - Social Media Journey and Having Fun Along The Way

I have set myself yet another task!

This time its to be more present on Podcasts as a Guest!

My Focus for August... seen as though my family holiday has been cancelled Is to show up and take massive action on appearing on more Podcasts!

WHY.....................! Do I hear you Ask......................................?

I love to meet people and do business, however... seen as social distancing is not going away, being on a Podcast is the next best thing to be social, spread your message and have fun along the way. I can tell my story to millions of people from the comfort of my home but still have face to face interaction via Zoom, Skype, HangOuts etc...... with the host.

I feel relaxed and at ease when on a Podcast and simply love every second of it, because I am promoting my online course on How To Dominate Social Media, being a guest on the Podcast is a great move...  just think about when that famous singer is about to drop an album or single they are all over the radio stations or the actor with a new film, they are on all the top talk shows... I often talk about modelling what the successful people and businesses do so this is no different.

If YOU want to focus on launching your product/services I would 100% recommend jumping onto multiple podcasts... If you want to learn how I got invited onto multiple podcasts within just days, please feel free to leave a comment after you have signed up to my Blog and I would be happy to share this secret!

SEO Strategies Everyone Can Use to Improve Their Website's Rankings

Without SEO, search engines will not be able to direct visitors towards your site and this may affect your online business in a negative way. You need both On-site and Off-site SEO if you want to have more encouraging results.

Start your SEO campaign right away

Better start your SEO campaign and avoid delaying it. If you not begin right away, competition could go ahead of you, letting it become more difficult to exceed them.

Study your competition

Know more about your competition. Study the keywords they use that appear on the first page then include the proper keywords in your site.

Discover the particularities

No two websites are the same. A particular SEO strategy that works for an online business may not necessarily work for you. There are a lot of variables that you need to take into consideration.

Devote time and effort

You do not have to spend too much money on SEO. You can also come up with a great outcome despite your small budget as long as you exert effort and devote time in creating relevant content and building more links.

Have patience

Do not expect immediate SEO results. It usually takes weeks or several months for your site to get noticed and ranked on search engines. If your website is just new, you need a lot of patience. It takes time to gain recognition as an expert and gain the trust of visitors. When these two features are not present, do not expect your site to have a ranking higher than those that are more established.

Update constantly

Never think that your website is already complete. You need to constantly update your site if you aim to draw in more visitors and businesses as well as rank higher in search engines. Also try other SEO strategies to stay updated with the continuous changes in search engines' criteria for ranking sites.

Use Webmaster Tools

You no longer need to submit your site to search engines like before. Whenever you create a new website or webpage, recent developments make it possible not to need new information. Google offers Webmaster Guidelines and Help Videos to assist online users like you.

Avoid penalties

If you want your site to rank high on Google Search Engine, do what is necessary to avoid getting any penalties. Such penalties may take its toll on your site and you may not receive visitors for quite some time. You should take full responsibility when it comes to your SEO strategy. This means that you should be aware of the things you need to do and avoid. Once, you get a penalty from search engines, it is final.

Use Google Analytics

Install Google Analytics and use it to observe the number of visitors drawn to your site, the keywords they use to locate you and the pages they visit.

Find alternative traffic sources

Search for more ways to gain more visitors. Google is a great source of traffic but it is not practical to totally depend on it. Get a Google+ Page to help win the trust of Google and improve your site's ranking for keywords.

Spotting eBook Trends

The books and publishing sector passed through a lot of transformations over the past years with eBooks gaining prominence. Ever since, digitization evoked in every sphere of life with mobile apps in the lead role, books and publications businesses too made a breakthrough with the same. Known as "Digital versions of the printed books", eBooks circulate on the internet as PDF files. They can be read on a range of smart devices, eReaders like Amazon's Kindle that promise a hassle-free comfortable reading experience. On the other hand, apps are there as basic tools to help reading eBooks in smartphones, tablets for those who do not own an eReader.

No doubt, the eBook industry is in its infancy stage and far away from influencing its massive number of publishers. However, till date, it has only proved to widen the market scopes for the publishing houses exceptionally. Read on the following section about some notable trends that are presently observed in the eBooks industry.

#1 More publications than readers

Here publications do not mean print copies but digital copies. Many times, books go out of stock in the bricks-and-mortar stores, for new or popular releases, disheartening the bookworms. That's an impossible case for eBooks which at no time can go out of print. Further, it is cheaper and convenient to enter the eBooks arena, unlike print media. Thus, eBooks revolution resulted in an exponential rise in publications while readership rose gradually.

#2 Subscriptions models churning more profits

Readers or especially the bookworms always have the will to pay for good reads, because that's what they are passionate about. That's why the comeback of subscriptions models in the digital genre favoured the publishers a lot. The success of subscription-based reads like Kinfolk showed that digital prints are gaining momentum in the revenue models and readers are going for it.

#3 Minimalistic approach to design

Neutral colours, spacious content layout, higher contrast, and authentic photography are the few main design elements that help an eBook app stand out in the publishing industry. These are essential as they provide an alike experience of a printed book to the readers, but at free or low costs.

#4 Self-publishing will become more prominent

In the earlier context, getting a story or information published meant associating with a hardcore publishing agency. However, the occurrence of eBooks empowered storytellers and journalists for self-publishing. Most eReading apps offer a direct publish option to get their work to the world in 1-2 days.

#5 Books reviews and discussions

The authors not only need a consistent reader base but also should make efforts to get more readers. Thus, apps are having the corresponding segment for letting reader post informative reviews, engage in thought-provoking discussions on a particular read, share their reviews on social media. All these help authors to spark up their presence in the mobile and web world.

No doubt, apps and smart devices are transforming the business models of publishing houses to a completely digital environment. However, competition is on the rise in this sector too. Publishers and self-publishers should not only restrict the mobile engagement to reading but also engage readers in other activities like reviews, social sharing, discussions, etc.

Writing Good Blogs

There's a lot of blogs out there on the Web, most of which don't entice one to go back regularly to read updates. What is missing from these on-line journals that would essentially make them 'good' blogs? Well, the answers in life usually come down to simplicities. So let's look at the problem like we were children. Children don't complicate life with miscellaneous information, and when they speak they tell you straight to the point exactly how they feel and think about a subject.

First of all, we should ask the questions," Why do blogs exist? And what are they here for?" Well, in an ideal world 'good' blogs would help people connect, sharing knowledge and feelings about issues in life. As they are journals written by individuals we would hope that they'd be readable and open to comment by all other people, not just a select group of friends. The key is speaking in a way that is understandable by the masses, get rid of acronyms and local slang that only few will comprehend. Keep the sentences grammatically simple and generally short and concise.

Try to write in your blog as often as possible because if people enjoy reading your thoughts and ideas they'll want to communicate or at least be filled in regularly on 'your world'. Ask questions, comment on other blogs of similar content, start communities with others you've never met, based on your interests. Keep focused; if your blog is about thoughts on war and peace, keep your thoughts on the latest movie and how hungry you are for somewhere else. The idea is to incite intelligent communication so that in time our collective stockpile of knowledge and wisdom will gradually grow like a tree in fertile soil.

I think of most importance is the fact that you want this journal to be 'good' reading. Of course we all have ideas about what genres and styles we like, but writing from your heart and soul is imperative for the connection with others that you're looking for. Share yourself; don't hide behind walls of fear of ridicule and judgment. In real life relationships trust, respect, intimacy, and unity are all necessary for a bond to form. It's the same in the 'virtual' world; people want to hear from real people-not just one-sided, highly opinionated arguments from egos that don't want to hear the 'other side of the coin'.

Now, in my last article I really tore apart most writers out there, and here I'm giving some pretty complex ideas on how to fix the problem of 'bad' writing. In my next article I'll attempt to go back to the simple basics of how to write for beginners. I hope I haven't come across as too judgmental, I just truly believe the 'blog world' could become a real asset to humanity, and at the moment it's missing the mark.

Ideas about sentence structure, grammar, paragraphing, using a thesaurus (varying terms used so as not to sound repetitive), whether or not your blog is suitable for a personal or professional approach, are all important to creating a simple and enjoyable read for the blogging visitor. If you are a beginner, please check out my next article on the basics.

5 Ways To Get Your Blog Posts Working Harder

Sometimes, coming up with new content ideas is difficult. You know Google and the other search engines reward consistently delivered, fresh content. This can be a tough situation when the old noggin is not cranking out ideas for new content.

Fortunately, you are probably sitting on a goldmine of new traffic right now... your old blog posts.

You can simply repurpose your current posts to make them fresh, giving you new traffic bait without a lot of time and trouble. One huge benefit here is speed. It takes nowhere near the time to rework your old blog posts that it does to create new ones.

The following 5 practices are methods that successful bloggers use to create more traffic, without creating totally new content.

1. Link To Other Posts and Pages On Your Blog

Google's spiders love internal links. This is when you link from one page or post of content on your site to another. This simple trick can keep readers on your site longer, alerts your readers to relevant content and also increases the average amount of time each visitor spends on your blog. All of those things are great for SEO, meaning more free organic traffic.

2. Rework Your Titles

You may look over an old blog post and think it is pretty fabulous. It might not need any changing. You may have keywords and related words and phrases, your sub-headers move the reader down the page, and you have a strong call to action. Why not just change the title? This is only recommended on posts that you think may be under-performing. There is no need to change something if it isn't broken.

3. Share Your Popular Blog Posts On Social Media

It doesn't matter how old they are. Your most popular blog posts are popular for a reason. Each month, get them back out there in the social media trenches where they can go to battle for you.

4. Lengthen Short Posts

Did you know that posts of 1,500 words or more drive more traffic than shorter posts? This is free, generic traffic you don't have to pay for. Beef up the length of your current shorter posts, making them value-rich as you do so.

5. Improve The Readability of Your Posts

No one likes to read a huge block of text. Break up your content. Add sub-headers. Use underlining, italics, bulleted lists, images and video to make an old, stale blog post fresh and enjoyable.

Importance of Followers and Fans on Social Media Platforms

In recent times, social media platforms have taken the market by storm. Not one or two, but there are several platforms where one can post their creative ideas like pictures and videos. Also one can follow various people there if one likes their content. Seeing that these platforms have millions and billions of users and out of the 70% of the users are regular ones, these spaces have turned into a great channel for marketing and advertising. However, it is not enough to just have great content one also will have to increase their fan following.

Who are fans and followers?

People who use a certain platform not only post their content, but also look for other people's content with whom they can connect. So when these people start following their favorite accounts religiously, they become a follower and a fan.

Just like marketing happens in the real world, one will need more fans and potential customers to follow them on social media so that they can be converted into customers. That is why it is seen that fans play the most crucial role In making or breaking an account and their creator's social media influence. These fans will only become loyal supporters, chain marketers, and customers for their followed people and business accounts.

Why followers and fans are so important?

Having a huge following on social media is important because:

Make the brand popular: one can use social media to promote their brand, whether it is any product, service or thought. Having a huge number of followers means they can reach out to their fans and establish their offering to them.

Create a community: many times it is not about just marketing or advertising, sometimes it is about reaching out to like-minded people. Social media can be a great platform for finding people like oneself and also it becomes easy to say what one wants and it will reach people easily.

Increase the influence: every brand or a social media influencer needs to spread their business and for that followers and fans are the best way to go about. Usually, these fans and followers only become marketers thus spreading the brand more effectively.

Why buy fans and followers?

Now that one has noticed how much followers and fans can affect one's social media presence, whether it is an individual or a business. Therefore, other than some of the organic ways one can also buy followers for their account. Some of the benefits of buying social media fans are:

One can grow their business instantly without having to wait for a longer period of time.

Followers attract followers, so if one has a strong number of followers on their profile this will show the popularity and effectiveness of one's products and thus will attract more followers.

Having more followers will influence people to visit one's website, thus increasing the website traffic.

Having more followers means more visibility and that means more customers, all this will lead to higher revenue.

A large number of followers will also make one look more credible and thus will give a boost to one account among other competitors.

Buying fans can be a very advantageous step for all social media people. Just like others, one can also buy tiktok fans from the tiktok star at very reasonable prices. This will help one in increasing their tiktok presence and thus make one's video go more viral.

How To Create An Attention-Grabbing Contest to Promote Your Products

Hosting a contest is a very effective marketing strategy that has been around long before the internet. It's been around a long time because it works. It helps bring in buyers, cause a buzz, and spread brand awareness. A good contest can pay off for years to come due to the publicity that occurs long after it's over.
Know Who You're Targeting
If you don't know what your goal is and who you're targeting with the contest, you might not succeed. Is your goal to get more email sign-ups so that you can nurture them and sell to them later? Is your goal to sell products directly? Setting this part up right is essential to your success.
Choose the Right Type of Prize
This is another essential component of your contest. If you don't select the right prize, you may have freebie seekers joining. You want the prize to be related to your product (or be your product) and something only the audience who wants the product will be keen to get.
Add Incentives to Act Now
Don't let the contest go on forever. Make it short and sweet so that you can get onto the real thing fast. A contest that lasts too long will get boring for people. Don't give it more than a week, but do talk about it more than the week leading up to it to give them notice.
When you set up your goals, you'll want to match each goal with something you can track using your analytics software. You can use Google Analytics or if you're using special software such as email software, it may have native tracking solutions to use. Don't assume why things are happening as they are; know why by studying the data.
Build Up to the Contest
Don't just launch the contest on the first day. Instead, talk about it while you're planning it. As you talk about these things, you'll be creating buzz and excitement about the contest in advance, so people will be ready to go when it launches.
Stay Excited and Show It
When you're hosting a contest, it's up to you to jazz people up and get them excited. Talk about it before, during, and after. Do Facebook Live videos so that people can hear and see your excitement. Excitement is contagious.
Follow Up
Don't just let the contest be over and die. Instead, make sure you follow up with people who got on your list due to the contest, to affiliates that did very well, and to your audience by letting them know about the winner that you brag about via your social media and blog.
Contests are a great way to increase brand awareness, create buzz about your products and services, and boost engagement and sales at the same time. Advertising, Marketing, and Spam

In this article, we'll take a closer look at a few of the basic Internet marketing strategies such as banner ads, message board/forum posting, and email marketing to describe how each can quickly cross the line from clever advertising to spam.
This is important because while a clever, well-planted Internet marketing campaign can help to attract new customers and keep your existing ones loyal, spam will do the exact opposite. Spamming will not only alienate both new customers and existing customers but can get you into trouble with the law too. As a business owner, this can be extremely damaging to profit margins.
A very popular Internet Marketing strategy is banner ads. These ads usually appear at the top of websites and are usually within the pages of the websites. It is from this appearance that they earned the name banner ads and the banners can come in various sizes.
Oftentimes, business owners purchase marketing space on these web sites. These banner ads might also be placed on other websites as part of an exchange or an affiliate advertising and marketing campaign. Banner ad exchanges are unique situations in which one company owner posts a banner ad on his web site in exchange for another's on theirs. These agreements may be made independently between entrepreneurs with companies they partnered with or as part of exchanges promoted by a 3rd party.
For example, in affiliate marketing, the affiliate will advertise your company on their blog posts and/or advertising space for agreed-upon compensation. The banner ad would then generate a wanted impact such as website traffic to the ad or making a sale. The terms of the agreement are usually defined beforehand as well as are generally based upon a range of pay per impression, ppc (pay per click) or pay per sale or lead.
Banner ads are a great way to market your business however, you need to recognize just how they can be overused and be misconstrued as spam. Sensibly positioning your banner ads on a few websites to a targeted audience is considered smart marketing. Plastering your banner ads on any website regardless of who the audience is can be easily seen as spam. When people start seeing the same banner ad everywhere ohttps://ezinearticles.com/?Advertising,-Marketing,-and-Spam&id=10238870n the internet that has no relevance to what they are searching for, they'll most likely see you as an annoying spammer rather than take your business seriously.
Message boards are an option for placing your ads and can offer business owners a chance to get some free advertising too. If the services and products you provide attract a particular niche, it may be worthwhile to join some of these message boards and online forums associated with your industry.
A lot of these message boards and forums will allow you to include a link of your company or business underneath your name as part of your signature line when you join their discussions. Care should be taken to ensure thoughtful responses and not just responding to every message with a link to your website when it is not appropriate to the conversation. This is also considered a form of spam and once participants start to view your posts as spam, they are most likely to avoid your website altogether rather than visit it.
Lastly, marketing with emails is one of the best ways to get an incredible ROI for your advertising dollars. Your email campaigns can include sending out a periodic newsletter that provides good content along with your email promotions, discounts or coupons on your product or services. People who opt-in to your email list or your loyal subscribers will often look forward to these emails and not see them as spam. They are more likely to make a purchase as a result of this marketing strategy.
In addition, potential clients who have specifically asked for extra details on your services and products will find this sort of advertising to be very beneficial. On the other hand, collecting email addresses in a deceitful manner and using them to send out mass e-mailings is definitely a no-no and is considered spam. People who get your emails who did not inquire or join your email list is called spamming and can get you into some trouble legally. Never send emails to people who don't want it. Hopefully, this article was helpful in shedding some light on what advertising, marketing, and Spam are all about.
